This model home is part of a sustainable housing project of 4.5 acres surrounded by a lot of green. The project is located only 2km from the city center of Ghent. The project combines thoughtful use of energy, materials and high comfort demands with contemporary architecture that gives a strong presence in the neighbourhood.

The design of this passive home was provided by BURO II & ARCHI + I, a multidisciplinary studio with over 30 years of experience. Bart Degryse from Flow Interior was responsible for the interior design of the model home. He represents European designs wolves in the Benelux and creates interior projects from A to Z. His products and designs share the same DNA: sense of color, originality, young design, honest materials and open communication.

This bright and cosy interior, with its Scandinavian touch and feel, is emphasized by the play of contrast brought in by lighting. The black colour of the profiles enhances the clean white of its surroundings. The circular pendant is a breaking point for the linear lines in the room. The visibility of the profiles stands across the invisibility of the little dots of light, throwing their light exactly where it has to be. The result shows the true “power of light”, which not only lies in its functionality, but also in its aesthetics.
